The site strategy is to leverage technology and data to provide the most
comprehensive and granular intelligence on housing that serious housing
professionals need.
Today we cover all 939 metropolitan and
micropolitan statistical areas of the U.S. with dashboard,
forecast and housing equilibrium reports that include key
macroeconomic stats, home prices, home sales, permits and rich
demographic information.
Soon we will be offering even more! The
centerpiece of the Housing Intelligence platform is a spatial
analytical tool called Neighborhood Insights (launching early 2009)
that premium subscribers will use to track new and existing home
sales, price trends, and new home supply and demand in over 500
markets in the U.S. (over 90% of home sales) down to the
neighborhood level (e.g., zip code, census tract, actual
subdivision, zip+4, or even user chosen areas). The platform and
application enables real analysis of housing, from new construction
to existing home sales.
There is simply no complete platform to do
such analysis today. Real analysis requires comprehensive coverage,
granular detail, all sales activity (new AND existing), reliable and
consistent metric calculations, and an interface to empower users to
find the facts they need to make their own decisions including
understanding demand. Housing Intelligence provides this analytical
